How To Make Your Meaningful Decision

I happen to be a head-in-the-clouds kind of gal. I can think of a bunch of amazing ideas and projects to take on and yet I rarely fulfill on them. The way I speak and the language I use when I talk about these things is pretty hollow. My favorite words to use are "would", "hope", "try".
I would totally write a book. I hope to write a book someday. I'll try writing a book now.
I will write a book. That's the golden ticket. Well... you need more than a declaration to accomplish a goal but the first step is always an empowered declaration about what you will do. And not what you'll do if XYZ happens or when you get dealt a good hand. It's about declaring what you will do today despite the past or circumstances.
When you declare, you take the whole process on. Even the parts of the process that you know you're not too jazzed about. I declared being a full-time life coach. Do I enjoy marketing? Hell no. Do I know it's something that will get me to where I want to be? Hell yes. And so, I market. Because that sh*t is worth it.
It makes me sad when I see people that choose sh*t sandwiches because they are easier to swallow. A 9 -5 job is easier than starting my own business so I'll just do that. Finding a 9-5 that aligns with my values is hard so I'll just stick it out at this one.
Settling makes me sad. I got on a coaching call and cried when I explained to my coach that it upsets me knowing so many people walk around dreading going to work every day when work is a huge part of a person's life. And so that's why I choose to market as a life coach. Because the more people I work with, the better my chances are at creating my own impossible future where the common thing is that people love and find value in their work.
Find a big enough Why and choose the sh*t sandwich that's worth it day in and day out. Quit settling and start living.
